A map piece
Although vaguely in the shape of a headstone, this piece of beautiful white marble’s irregular edges suggest it wasn’t cut to shape, but rather found that way. On one side is inscribed “Olaus Stichelm, Savior of Our Town, He met his End Vanquishing the Vampire Count Schreck at the Battle of Frothing Ford.” On the other, very faint, are silver-inlaid high elf runes and marks suggestive of a map.
Getting near the stone makes your hair stand on end. The air around it feels prickly.
